For anyone who is interested, the Om Yoga Show is taking place this year on Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October. It’s at a new venue this time, Alexander Palace in London.

I have visited nearly every year since it began and I’m looking forward to attending this year and trying a few new classes. If you haven’t been before, they run lots of taster yoga classes for free, you can book and pay for various yoga classes, watch demonstrations, listen to lectures and there is also a meditation area. Also, not forgetting to have a browse around the many stalls there where you will find everything yoga related - yoga clothes, training, retreats and workshops and various yoga products to buy.

Although it can get very busy there, especially on Saturdays it makes a good day out and you get to try things that you maybe haven’t come across before. It’s normally held in Olympia London, so with the venue change this year it may not be as busy and it looks easier to get from especially from Cheshunt.

My tips for anyone wanting to go along – wear comfortable shoes as you can walk quite a bit browsing the stalls. If you are going to a free class get there early and be prepared to queue as these get busy on a first come basis. Don’t cram in too many classes, I made that mistake before, wanting to try too much and ended up very tired and didn’t get to see the stalls properly.

You can download a brochure or get one sent through the post. Tickets online are £10 for an adult for one day, or £22 for an adult for all 3 days. You can buy tickets on the door at a slightly extra cost and there are also deals online if you search about.

The ticket price also includes entry to the Mind Body Soul Show which is held there too.

The only hard thing is deciding what yoga classes to go to and what to buy, there is so much to choose from!
